This is AP news minute.

1. President Barack Obama paid a visit to Capitol Hill on Wednesday, where he met with senate and house democrats about preserving his health-care law. Obama urged congress to "Look out for the American people".

2. New York city authorities say more than 100 people suffered minor injuries while a long island railroad train hit a bumping block at Brooklyn station. Metal there appeared to be from a rail pierced the bottom of the train and the wheels lifted up. The crash also damaged a work area beyond the tracks.

3. More than 100 rebels stormed a jail in southern Philippine, allowing over 150 inmates to escape. Officials say it was the biggest jail break in the country.

4. And the first rain and snowfall of the winter season in Pakistan has ended a month long dry spell that has caused numerous breathing problems and water shortages. Heavy snow fell outside Islamabad on Wednesday, prompting residents to rush outside into the cold weather.
